Welcome to Stewpot’s House.
A few years ago I started writing this because a handful of people, mostly friends and family, kept telling me the same thing: that I had opinions and insight on menswear, food, culture and music that were worth putting somewhere other than a group chat. So I built a small corner of the internet to do exactly that.
To start, a little bit about me; when I was at school, I studied Maths and the Sciences, at University, Accounting & Finance. I pursued these subjects not out of any major love for them, but because I was good at them, and “good grades open doors!” is what my dear Mum always used to say. It gave me a highly useful way of thinking that I have nourished and utilised to this day.
But when I was young, I also played guitar, drew comic books and pretended to be a radio DJ on YouTube – never imagining I’d one day actually end up on the radio! After years of dormancy, that side of me is getting more airtime than ever: a driving instinct for what looks and sounds and feels right, built from a fairly obsessive interest in clothes, records and good food.

What you’ll find here is what genuinely interests me – menswear with some history to it, music that’s shaped how I hear things since, and the odd bit of life in between. I don’t claim any of it is gospel. It’s one person’s taste, written down properly.
